Neither a single location nor a chain that plans in a standard way needs it.
- Data comes in automatically from a till, POS or hotel system, by file import or by hand.
- The forecast is built from 16 weeks of history, with trend, year-on-year comparison and its own error measurement.
- Staffing rules turn the forecast into the number of people per shift: linear or threshold-based, separately for each location and position. You add fixed staffing and tasks separately.
- Hourly temperature from the weather forecast can be an extra metric in the rules, next to footfall and sales.

Working time systems: basic, equivalent (longer shifts balanced by shorter days) of 12, 16 and 24 hours, weekend, continuous operation and the equivalent system in healthcare. Medical on-call duty and standby are separate shift types. Proplanum counts the daily standard for each person, from the employee record. The employee's working day means the 24 hours counted from the start of the shift.

You see overtime before it happens.
- Before publishing The daily and weekly hour limits are among the rules checked in the schedule. The message appears next to the shift before you publish.
- During the period You see the balance of the reference period (the period over which working time is settled) as you go. In Summaries you can count overtime from the schedule alone, not only from hours worked.
- After the period Summaries show overtime and the amount to pay, and the hours go to payroll.
You set thresholds per person and per working time system, and the moment overtime is counted separately for each location. Summaries are in plans from Biznes.
Swaps, open shifts and availability without calling the manager. fromStart
- An employee proposes a swap or gives up a shift, another employee takes it, and the manager approves with one tap.
- An unassigned shift goes to the Unassigned row, and the manager moves it to open shifts. People who can take it get a notification.
- Approved leave appears in the grid straight away. An electronic sick note (e-ZLA) from ZUS, the Polish social insurance institution, removes that person from their shifts automatically, and the manager gets a notification.
- One-off and recurring availability goes into scheduling.

We have no till data. Is this for us?
Yes. Scheduling, and automatic scheduling from your staffing rules, do not need demand data. Demand-based staffing is an option for those who have such data.
We have one or two people on a shift. Does it make sense?
The schedule works for single people and for teams of several hundred. With a small team you gain publishing and swaps, from the Biznes plan also actual hours, and the manager runs everything from the phone.
Our manager has built the schedule for ten years. Why would they need software?
It does not replace the manager. It takes over the scheduling work: their rules are saved, Proplanum prepares a version, and they correct it. With swaps and leave, they no longer take every call.
What happens to the schedule when someone is ill?

You can also generate the schedule again with the shifts you have set kept in place. The manager always makes the decision.
